Team Event - Field of Screams - Sunday, October 11 (No School Following Day)

Members of the Bishop McDevitt Swimming & Diving team will attend the Field of Screams on Sunday, October 11. There is no school on Monday, October 12 so this was identified as an ideal date for all members to attend.

Students, parents, siblings, and friends are welcome to attend with a "group scream pass". At least 25 people are required for the group rate of $35 per person. The “group scream pass” admits each individual to all attractions.

As we move into the month of October, we will begin to meet three days a week, most likely Monday, Wednesday, and Thursdays to avoid fall games and meets that often occur on Tuesdays. The exact days will be discussed with athletes and communicated in advance.

In the body of the email, include the following information:

Pre-season Parent Meeting - Wednesday, October14 beginning at 6:30 p.m. at High School Cafeteria

A pre-season information meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 14 at 6:30 p.m. in the high school cafeteria. All returning and potential new parents to the program should plan to attend this meeting. Students are also welcome to attend but the information discussed will primarily be addressed to parents.

The following topics will be covered:
1. Collect contact information for new and returning members.

2026 Morning Practices

Morning practices are not mandatory but encouraged for our athletes that have a reasonable chance of qualifying for the District 3 Championship meet. Morning practices will NOT serve as substitute practice for our evening sessions. If any swimmer or parent has a question whether an athlete should be prepared to attend these sessions, please speak with a coach.

Swimmers and parents:

Please read the following information if you are interested in optional pre-season swim practices during the months of September, October, and November at the Central Penn Fitness Center.

Since swimmers will need a membership to Central Penn, they are free to work out on their own on the days a practice session is not scheduled.

A few additional reminders about these optional pre-season practices.

1. No registration (other than a pool membership) is necessary and no attendance will be taken. Swimmers choose to attend because they want to attend.
